Leather Work Part 2

Hello neighbors,
After 900 + stitches and two very sore fingers. Its done.
I had a blast making this and even more fun using it.
With this skill set, tool pouches of all sorts a shapes are within my reach. Not to mention the other cool stuff I can make.
I learned a few good lessons making this and see there is a ton more to learn.

The strap was the hardest because of the stitching.

I know that a saddle maker earns ever penny they charge.

Thank you for coming along on the leather craft ride with me.
Get you a bit of leather or heavy canvas and give it a try.
In the video you will see stitching and embossing along with a trip out in my back yard for a test run.

(the wife already wants a purse)
I would like to know. Are my videos running a little long for your tastes?

Please be careful. Some of the things I do are dangerous. It is not my fault if you get hurt. Use your brain, be safe.

Good one Dave…..love the survivalist ending of it all in the hammock….I think I saw ratchet straps tho….. -1 🙂

I like the flat strap because they dont slip. If it fell where it was sitting I would have rolled down the hill in the drink. I’m to old to be swimming in that cold water.
      Thank Jeff.
      You are always welcome.

Eddie that is my back yard. Its a bit swampy but the horses keep the grass real short. Snakes are my biggest problem. Of three daughters, two have been bit. But they keep on going. I will often have a side arm on for that reason. Thank you for the complements! 😉

I enjoyed the video. Even learned a few things.
    I do have a question.
When the little pooch gets tired, from trying to keep up with you…..
Does he ride in the pouch???

    • David Bardin says:

Randy she is a hunter. When we go out she chases rabbits and squirrels just about till she cant run any more. And if she wants to she could. I have had to carry her home before. Winnie dogs were built to hunt badgers. Short legs to get in the hole. Long tail to drag them out when they a stuck.
