I managed to finish the stand this week end. I was on a schedule and have never like being put there with projects. Oh well it made the wife happy.

Here is what I got.

I spent a good bit of time hammering the candle bases. That was new to me and a blast.

My daughter has seen it and she likes it. It has made the wife’s approval so I guess all is well. Now to make an arbor.

Thank you folks for you time and comments. Keep coming back. There will be more.

Please be careful. Some of the things I do are dangerous. It is not my fault if you get hurt. Use your brain, be safe.

    Clearly my opinion means squat….

    FWIW: I like it!!!

I need to see if my dad’s old stick welder is still operable….
That’s what I need, more tools & machines!!!

Oh but Randy the pres’s opinion means the world to me.
Ok i am stupid, what is FWIW?
Randy a welder is a handy tool to have to repair those wonderful woodworking tools you are collecting.
Remember ” if they can’t find you handsome at least they can find you handy.”

I’m the first in my family, since the taming of electricity, that can’t weld. My great grandfather was a turn of the century Iron worker and welder. My grandfather was an iron worker and welder. My father was an iron worker and welder. I’m a woodworker who can’t weld.

    • David Bardin says:

Stumpy with your ingenuity and a little practice it will come to you.
      Its in your blood.
I bet they could weld a wonderful bead with a torch.
I am so happy to see you stop by and post.
Thank you master woodworker and soon to be metal smith.
I love to blend the two.
The problem is I haven’t really done that with a project yet.
      That to will come.

Well done Dave….what a great gift for your daughter….and that welder is off the charts….sweet.

    • David Bardin says:

Thank you Jeff. I am digging the welder. I have been finding myself wondering around the yard looking for a reason to use it.
I bet the wife still makes me give a wedding gift. I never get off on the cheep side.
