Sharpening Auger Bits

I had finally completed a boxed set of Irwin auger bits. They are something I am a bit proud of. The box was cleaned as best as posable and the rust removed from the bits.

I will touch base on where to sharpen and where not to sharpen.

We will take a look at a auger bit file.

I would like to introduse a new page here on my site called Shop Quickies
I will be placing videos there from time to time that are tips and tidbits that I have learned. So you might want to check and see. I will try to keep the videos down to 3 to 7 minutes. This will be stuff that is short and sweet and I think not big enough to to a blog post on.
Now the meat of the post.

Now if you have time click on the shop quickie link above and see whats there.

Please be careful. Some of the things I do are dangerous. It is not my fault if you get hurt. Use your brain, be safe.

    Although noontime is long gone….
A quickie is always a good thing!!!

Does this mean I need to start obtaining bits & braces, or am I still allowed to use power???

Randy will have a race to see who can get the bit chucked and hole completed first. We can use a 4/4 with a one inch hole.
They are nice to have and easy to find. Try it you might like it. Who knows you might need a hole where no extension cord will reach.
      Quickies are nice 😉
