Cherry Chest of Drawers Part4

Chest of Drawers Series

Well I started the pin board in the dovetail construction. Now its just rinse and repeat.

I will finish the carcass and start the drawers. There is some decision to blind tails or exposed tails on them. We will cross that bridge when I get there. Not to mention I haven’t even placed a lot of thought to the base and legs. It all depends on the material I have in the shop. Then the worst part, the finish. I hate finish. I am leaning towards french polish.
So hang around more to come.

And for those of you that haven’t seen it. My intro.

Things will slow down a bit because of time. But I will post as soon as I can.

Please be careful. Some of the things I do are dangerous. It is not my fault if you get hurt. Use your brain, be safe.

    Audio problem was no problem….
Since I can read lips!!! ;^)

Although a four year old can be taught….
I’m not soooo sure about this old dog!!!

I thought the pins were supposed to stand proud of the mating face and plane flush after joining.
    Am I missing something???

    A great tutorial….
I can’t say thank you enough, for taking the time to do these videos with such detail.

I am glad you liked it.
No you can’t. I was reading itsy bitsy spider.
Randy you would be surprised. Get you some scrap and give it a try.
They were, two things. The corners were not as clean as I would have liked and the board has warped a bit since glue up. The other side stood up much better. Just imagine if I would have set the gauge to the width of the wood. They would have been way down below the level of the tails.
      Thanks Randy you the man.

What I really want to know is what’s up with the farting chicken shirt? LOL…..

Good tip on marking that waste below the tails…..and great explanation on transferring those marks. Would never think to leave the pin board above flush like that…..good to know….

    Looking good Dave……
